On July 31, CYPC held the Q2 2026 Production and Business Operations Review Meeting to communicate the guiding principles from CTG's 2026 Reform and Development Seminar, review H1 performance, assess the current situation, and set out key priorities for H2. HE Hongxin, Assistant President of CTG and concurrently Secretary of Party Committee and Vice Board Chairman of CYPC, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

The meeting noted that in the first half of 2026, under the strong leadership of the Party Leadership Group of CTG and through the concerted efforts of all employees, the Company upheld stability as its top priority and coordinated efforts to ensure power generation, strengthen management, boost efficiency, and advance reform. As a result, operational safety remained stable and well-managed, equipment management was refined and orderly, business performance showed steady improvement, key initiatives advanced on schedule, and market-oriented reforms delivered measurable gains.

The meeting emphasized that all departments and subsidiaries must fully grasp the challenges and opportunities ahead, strengthen confidence, maintain strategic focus, and safeguard core operations and stability. At the same time, they should anchor their targets, shoulder critical responsibilities, and lead by example, to ensure a strong launch of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026–2030).

The meeting emphasized that the Company should spare no efforts to safeguard the Yangtze River's flood control and ecological security by consolidating safety responsibilities, adopting an extreme-event mindset, upholding non-negotiable safety red lines, enforcing rigorous equipment and facility management, and ensuring safe navigation through the flood season. The Company should guarantee stable energy supply by optimizing the operation of cascade reservoirs and leveraging large-scale hydropower's capabilities in peak-load support, load-following regulation, energy storage, and supply reliability, thereby safeguarding national energy security. Guided by the principle of seeking progress while ensuring stability, the Company should consolidate core business operations with steady progress by unlocking existing potential and cultivating new growth drivers, thereby demonstrating our value in serving the Group's overarching strategic objectives. The Company is encouraged to advance reform and innovation prudently by strictly controlling all categories of risk, continuously enhancing value creation capacity, and stimulating endogenous growth momentum. The Company must strengthen the guiding role of Party building through deep study and application of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building, sustain the study and education campaign on establishing and practicing the correct view of political achievements with consistent diligence, and fully cooperate with the inspection conducted by the Party Leadership Group of CTG, thereby safeguarding its steady and sustained development.

The meeting was chaired by the Company's General Manager and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, LIU Haibo. Company senior leaders, Chief Specialist, Board Secretary, General Counsel, Chief Supervisor, and principal heads of all departments and subsidiaries attended the meeting.
