We are committed to promoting coordinated regional development and support the building of harmonious rural areas with comfortable living and working environments through working together and sharing benefits with local communities, and making contributions to the economic and social progress of the reservoir area. To achieve these, we have actively engaged in initiatives such as fixed-point poverty alleviation, community development, people's well-being, public welfare and charity.

We advanced the construction of modern rural industry systems in the reservoir areas, focused on improving infrastructure, and supported the reservoir area through targeted assistance.

Revitalization of industries

Actively fulfilling our social responsibilities, we coordinated support for reservoir areas and co-development initiatives between enterprises and local governments. Throughout the year, we rolled out 46 assistance projects with a total investment of CNY 280 million, helping to build a robust framework for rural industries and promoting emerging models like smart agriculture and digital villages.

Revitalization of talents

We conducted training in vocational skills, market operation, employment, and business startup, which provided solid talent support for the development of the two counties. Additionally, we also upgraded and renovated school facilities and established science education centers for young people in the two counties, providing a platform for their learning and communication.

Revitalization of ecosystems

We constructed eco-industrial parks for agricultural products such as honey pomelos, navel oranges, and highland vegetables. Additionally, we established a science and technology demonstration park for agricultural products in Wushan County. Furthermore, we developed a number of ecological demonstration villages in rural revitalization, including Sanxia Village, Xiazhuang Village, and Liuping Village.

Revitalization of culture

To promote the distinctive local culture and polish the local cultural brands, we developed specific cultural experience tourism routes for Wushan County and Fengjie County, upgraded rural radio and television equipment in Wushan County, and produced promotional videos showcasing the folk culture of Fengjie County.

We have advanced the targeted assistance and public charity work through coordination in the reservoir areas near the six cascade hydropower plants, including infrastructure construction, educational support, medical assistance, and industrial support, so as to create a favorable external environment for power production and operation.

Infrastructure construction

Around the Gezhouba hydropower station, we have contributed to projects such as road maintenance and reconstruction, ecological environment protection, and the construction of agricultural bases. In the Wudongde hydropower station reservoir area, we have constructed water diversion projects for production and living purposes, effectively solving local problems related to field irrigation and drinking water for livestock.

Educational support

In the development areas of our company's new businesses such as new energy and integrated smart energy, we have undertaken projects such as the construction of school cafeteria buildings and the transformation of campuses to low-carbon ones, aiming to improve educational facilities. Additionally, we have implemented projects such as donation for disadvantaged students in Qingshui County, Gansu Province, the CYPC Sunshine Class, and scholarships for students at Chongqing University, thus helping students from disadvantaged families to receive equitable education.

Medical assistance

In the Baihetan hydropower station reservoir area, we have provided basic medical support by donating medical equipment such as electric comprehensive operating beds to the Ningnan County People's Hospital and the Baihetan Town Health Center, thereby enhancing the medical service in the reservoir area. We also launched the "Smiles" public welfare project to assist children with cleft lips and palates, providing free treatment for them.

Industrial support

To create low-carbon, green, and smart villages that integrate energy and industrial development, we have actively promoted rural integrated smart energy projects in villages such as Niuzhaping Village in Yichang, Hubei Province, and Xiezhai Village in Zhoukou, Henan Province.

Public welfare and voluntary activities

We carried out extensive community engagement activities, inviting residents and students to visit our power stations for "Public Open Day" events. Additionally, we organized company volunteers to provide services at local nursing homes and welfare institutions.

Tax payment

We complied with laws and regulations, paid taxes in full, upheld honest management, and strengthened risk management.

Adhering to the philosophy of "building a human community with a shared future," we have expanded our footprints to countries such as Peru, Malaysia, Brazil, and Pakistan. In these markets, we provided internationally recognized standards such as the "CTG Standard" and the "CYPC Solutions," with an aim to promote high-quality development in the global hydropower industry.

Since we invested in Luz del Sur S.A.A. (LDS) in Peru, we've made sure to run business with a local touch. Almost all the employees in our Peruvian branch, as high as 99.49%, are locals.
