"People-oriented and Safe Development"is the guiding principle of CYPC in its production, management.

CYPC has taken safety culture as the guiding principle, strengthened safety education, regularized behaviors of production workers, enhanced safety awareness of employees, who are targeted at"Zero Accident" and "Zero Liability Accident." The company has strengthened the standards for the electricity safety production management, technology and works, improved the equipment safety requirement and working condition. With the goal of"Zero Misbehavior in Management," the company has enhanced the safety level of equipment and the performance salary for safety production, so as to ensure the long-term safe operation of Three Gorges Hydropower Station, Gezhouba Hydropower Station, Xiluodu Hydropower Station, and Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station.

During the 13th Five-year Plan (2016-2020), Three Gorges Hydropower Plant, Gezhouba Hydropower Plant and the Overhaul & Maintenance Plant passed the reevaluation on reaching the standards for safe production with high scores;

Xiluodu Hydropower Plant and Xiangjiaba Hydropower Plant passed site review of level I standard for safe production standardization in the first year when they were put into production;

Gezhouba Hydropower Station and Xiluodu Hydropower Station achieved"zero unplanned shutdown" of units;

CYPC successfully dealt with devastating geological disasters, such as earthquakes in Yunnan and Sichuan, which ensured safe and stable operation of cascade hydropower stations at the river basin during peak hours of power consumption in summer, and its emergency disposal ability has been further enhanced;

At the end of the"13th Five-year Plan," CYPC has achieved the best level in safe production, ranking the best among units of the same type worldwide.

CYPC won the "Outstanding Organization Award for Creation Activity of Demonstration Team for National Safety Management Standardization" conferred by China Association of Work Safety.
