In the mid-February, CYPC was rated as a demonstration enterprise for the governance of state-owned enterprises by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

March 10

On March 10, at the first session of the sixth Board of Directors and Board of Supervisors was held by CYPC, the term of office was successfully changed.

March 29

On March 29, Three Gorges No. 1, the world's largest pure electric ship jointly developed and built by CYPC and Hubei Three Gorges Tourism Group, completed its maiden voyage in Yichang City, Hubei Province, and was officially put into operation.

May 4

On May 4, the six cascade hydropower stations in Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, Three Gorges and Gezhouba under CYPC have generated more than 3 trillion KWH of electricity over the years, equivalent to saving about 910 million tons of standard coal and reducing about 2.4 billion tons of carbon dioxide.

On May 17, China's first inland river hydrogen fuel cell powered working ship -- "Three Gorges Hydrogen Ship No. 1", jointly developed and built by CYPC and CSSC No. 712 Research Institute, officially commenced in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. This is China's first hydrogen fuel cell powered working ship to be classified into China Classification Society (CCS).

On May 18, Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang inspected the Three Gorges Dispatch and Communication Kunming Control Center .

On July 3, CYPC became the "benchmark" in the special assessment of "Double 100 Enterprises" of the SASAC.

July 20

On July 20, CYPC's share price reached a maximum of RMB 25.27, with a market value of RMB 574.7 billion, ranking first in the domestic A-share power sector and second in the global listed power companies.

On October 20, Gansu Zhangye Pandaoshan Pumped Storage Power Station developed by CYPC was approved to construct officially on October 27.

On October 24, Baihetan Hydropower Station was first impounded to the normal water level of 825 m.

On October 26, CYPC issued shares and paid cash to purchase assets and raise matching funds, and related transactions passed the review of the 16th Working Meeting of China Securities Regulatory Commission's Listed Company Merger and Reorganization Review Committee in 2022, and obtained "unconditional approval".

On October 26, the awarding ceremony for the postdoctoral scientific research workstation of CYPC was held in Yichang. A total of 14 units in Hubei Province were approved for postdoctoral scientific research workstations. Among them, CYPC is the only approved unit in Yichang City.

On October 31, the headquarters of CYPC was changed to No. 88 Sanyang Road, Jiang'an District, Wuhan City.

December 20

At 8:50 on December 20, with the official grid-connected operation of No. 9 unit of Baihetan Hydropower Station, 16 million-KW units of the power station were put into operation for power generation, marking that China has fully built the world's largest clean energy corridor on the Yangtze River.

As of December 31, the six cascade power stations in the main stream of Yangtze River have annually generated 262.249 billion KWH of electricity. CYPC has achieved the goal of "double zero" in work safety for 13 consecutive years, reaching the highest level in history in work safety.
