Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province released the 2025 performance evaluation results of provincial technology innovation centers. The Hubei Technology Innovation Center for Smart Hydropower (hereinafter referred to as the "Innovation Center for Smart Hydropower") once again received an "Excellent" rating, becoming the first and only technology innovation center in Hubei to secure an "Excellent" rating for three consecutive years.

The Innovation Center for Smart Hydropower is co-founded by 14 enterprises, universities, and research institutes including CYPC, relevant subsidiaries affiliated to China Three Gorges Corporation, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute. Dedicated to the intelligent construction, O&M, overhaul, scheduling, and management of hydropower projects, the Innovation Center for Smart Hydropower spearheads scientific research and the translation of technological achievements. Its ultimate goal is to foster a deep synergy among industry, academia, research, and practical application. During this period, the co-building partners undertook 29 ongoing research projects at or above the provincial level, secured 17 awards from provincial and ministerial institutions (including first-tier industry associations), and were granted 64 invention patents.

Moving forward, under the strategic guidance of CTG, CYPC will collaborate with its co-building partners to fully leverage the Innovation Center for Smart Hydropower. Together, we will intensify efforts in conquering core technologies and accelerate the commercialization of scientific achievements, thus contributing to Hubei Province's vision of becoming a nationally influential hub for scientific and technological innovation.
