China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. (CYPC) convened its 2026 Q1 Production and Operation Analysis Meeting recently. The meeting noted that CYPC delivered sound performance in work safety, made solid progress on key tasks, and achieved record-high operating indicators for the same period. The world's largest clean energy corridor generated more than 61.8 TWh of electricity in the first quarter, up 7.19% year on year, securing a strong start to 2026.

The meeting pointed out that since the beginning of the year, with guidance and support from the Changjiang Water Resources Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) and other national ministries/commissions, State Grid and China Southern Power Grid, as well as the sound leadership of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) and the CYPC Board of Directors, CYPC has coordinated efforts to ensure power supply, strengthen management, and advance investment. These actions have made important contributions to the steady growth of CTG.

The meeting stressed the need to fully understand the current situation, unify thinking, boost confidence, and build on the positive momentum. With greater intensity, more practical measures, and a more disciplined work style, CYPC will strive to achieve "half the time elapsed, half the tasks completed".

The meeting required that the safety bottom line be strictly upheld through consolidating work safety responsibilities at all levels, and advancing the wrap-up of annual maintenance and overhaul, flood prevention and flood season preparedness with a constant sense of vigilance and responsibility, so as to guarantee the absolute safety of key national projects. Full potential shall be tapped and efficiency shall be enhanced to actively support major national strategies. On the premise of ensuring the safety and stability of the Yangtze River, CYPC should implement lean equipment management and scientifically optimize joint operation to give full play to the comprehensive benefits of key national projects. Risk management and control shall be strengthened, with rectification for special audits strictly implemented, work experience systematically summarized, and sound long-term mechanisms established, so as to fully improve management quality and efficiency, defuse potential risks, and ensure high-quality development. The meeting finally mandated that Party building be upheld as the guiding principle. By advancing in-depth education on fostering and practicing a correct view of political performance, persistent efforts shall be made to improve conduct, strengthen discipline and fight corruption, so as to foster a clean and upright environment for entrepreneurship and work.

The meeting heard work reports from relevant departments. Company leaders, chief specialists, chief engineers and their assistants, and principal persons in charge of all departments and subsidiaries attended the meeting.
