In a recent development, the International Energy Agency's Technology Collaboration Program on Hydropower ("IEA Hydro" for short) held its 46th Executive Committee meeting, thematic seminar, and hydropower industry meeting in Norway. Marking a new collaboration, a joint seminar was also conducted with the IEA's Wind Technology Collaboration Programme ("IEA Wind" for short). Experts from countries including China, Norway, the United States, Australia, Switzerland, and Japan participated in the meeting. CYPC, which is the Chinese representative on the IEA Hydro Executive Committee, was invited to attend and presented several reports.
At the Executive Committee meeting, experts listened to the Secretariat's recent work summary and the latest research progress of each thematic unit, and the key work for the next stage was planned. At the meeting, LI Hui, Deputy Director of the Three Gorges Cascade Dispatching Center of CYPC, was elected Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee, becoming the first member from Asia in the leadership of the Executive Committee. His election highlights the recognition of CYPC's operational management capabilities in the field of hydropower. During this meeting, CYPC introduced in detail the new topic "Hydropower Digital Twin" that it plans to lead, and exchanged experiences and practices on hot issues. The participating experts made high appraisals of the topic and expressed their willingness to participate in the joint research.
In the future, CYPC will continue to stand on international platforms such as IEA Hydro to share the "CTG Standard" and the "CYPC Solutions" with the world. This move is intended to amplify its industry influence and discourse power and contribute to the CTG's swift journey to becoming a world-class enterprise.
