On May 30, 2024, the unveiling ceremony of CYPC’s Xia Jun Academician Workstation of CTG was held in Wuhan.
Xia Jun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is committed to the study of hydrology, water resources and water environment, and actively participates in international cooperation on global water issues. His systematic innovation achievements have been widely recognized by the international academic community. The establishment of Xia Jun Academician Workstation is a vivid practice for the CTG and Wuhan University to deepen the cooperation of "government, industry, university and research", and accelerating the development of new quality productive forces, thus continuously promoting high-quality development. CTG operates and manages the world's largest clean energy corridor, through which the corporate provides rich practical scenarios for scientific research of the workstation, and its goal of building a world-class enterprise is also highly consistent with the value pursuit of the workstation.
Xia Jun Academician Workstation will promote in-depth integration of CTG and Wuhan University in comprehensive utilization of water resources, ecological environment protection, and scientific and technological innovation. Furthermore, the workstation is expected to train high-level leading talents, promote the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, provide scientific and technological support for the safe and stable operation of pillars of a great power, and greatly empower the tapping of potential comprehensive benefits of cascade hydropower complex, thus accelerating CTG’s building of a world-class scientific and technological innovation hub.
