When a Chinese traditional festival encounters Peruvian culture, what kind of resonance will it bring? On February 23, CYPI Peru Management Team of CYPC and LDS jointly hosted the "Celebrating the Lantern Festival, Sending Blessings" activity, which reveals the answer for us.
Renzo Lee, Deputy General Manager of the Strategic Planning and Development Department of LDS said in his speech that this was the first time for them to participate in China's Lantern Festival. He found the celebration for the festival novel and delightful, and conveyed his blessings and expectations for the new year. Following that, the representative of CYPI Peru Management Team introduce traditional customs of the Chinese Lantern Festival, expressing the wish to further deepen cultural exchanges through this activity to jointly create a better future.
In the celebration, "fortune cookies" wrapped in red paper are most warmly received by everyone. In Peru, the "fortune cookie" contains a piece of message conveying blessings or sharing proverbs. In this celebration, cookies were used as a substitute for tangyuan, making it a unique way to convey Lantern Festival blessings. This can not only deepen Peruvian employees' memory and understanding of the Chinese Lantern Festival, but also allow Chinese employees to feel the warmth of home. After Chinese and Peruvian employees wrote their blessings for the new year, the brief and joyful celebration came to an end.
This celebration is the first Lantern Festival celebration organized at LDS in Peru. On this special day, they celebrated the Chinese traditional festival and experienced the culture of both China and Peru. The rich Chinese style and festive atmosphere of China blended with the cultural characteristics of Peru, creating a harmonious and warm family atmosphere, and deepening the bond between Chinese and Peruvian employees.
