Recently, the second batch of distributed photovoltaic power stations of Luz del Sur S.A.A. (LDS) in Peru have been officially put into operation. This batch consists of three distributed photovoltaic power stations at San Bartolo, Mala and Canete respectively.
In recent years, the Peruvian government has actively promoted the application and development of renewable energy technologies. China Yangtze Power International (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd (CYPI) affiliated to CYPC has deeply implemented the clean energy development strategy of CTG, fully utilized the core advantages of Peru LDS in distribution networks, proactively promoted the construction of "distribution network + distributed photovoltaic power generation" projects, and played an exemplary and leading role in promoting the application of distributed photovoltaic technology in Peru.
In 2021, LDS initiated the construction of distributed photovoltaic pilot projects, and built the first batch of grid-connected distributed photovoltaic power stations at Chacarilla and Chosica, respectively. As of the end of 2023, LDS has built and put into operation 5 photovoltaic power stations, with a total installed capacity of over 30 kW and annual green electricity generation of over 40 MWh. The pilot operation and management of distributed photovoltaic projects further promotes research on the operation control, dispatching management and O&M management of grid-connected distributed photovoltaic power stations, and lays the foundation for the promotion and application of distributed photovoltaic technology in Peru.
In the future, CYPI will continue to fully, accurately, and comprehensively implement the new development philosophy, actively respond to the initiative of building a "Global Community of Shared Future", promote LDS to continuously increase investment and pilot research in the field of clean energy, and explore development models and application scenarios suitable for distributed photovoltaic power generation in Peru, so as to provide solutions for the development of distributed photovoltaic power generation in Peru, enable more enterprises and households to use green and renewable energy, and make CYPC's contributions to the construction of a diversified and competitive energy system in Peru.
