Release time:2023-12-20

In Yunnan Province, Chuxiong Prefecture witnessed the grid connection of the 50 MW project in Xiaoheiqing, 20 MW project in Wuhai, and 60 MW project in Tanguanyao. Their successive commissioning added the number to surpass ten regarding the photovoltaic (PV) projects operated and maintained by CYPC New Energy, a subsidiary of China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. (CYPC), in Yunnan. The total installed capacity was raised to exceed 1.4 GW.

Since taking over the operation and maintenance of the first PV power plant in Yunnan in August 2022, CYPC has been advocating high-quality exploration of new development space and following the production concept of precise scheduling, lean operation, and careful maintenance. The company has established and improved the management system integrating safety, production, and technologies and formed a set of standardized and scalable PV power plant takeover processes. At the same time, CYPC has strengthened talent training and reserves by assigning senior staff to train the freshmen to keep improving the operation and maintenance management.

CYPC is dedicated to fulfilling the responsibilities and missions entrusted by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) and facilitating the construction of an integrated renewable energy development base for hydro, wind, and solar energy in the lower Jinsha River. CYPC aims to contribute to constructing a new energy-dominated new power system.
