Recently, LDS, an affiliate of CYPC in Peru, held the Ceremony of LDS's Acquisition of 100% Equity of Sojitz Arcus Investment in Lima, Peru, with the regional branch of Sojitz Corporation in America. The ceremony was hosted by Mario Gonzalez, General Manager of LDS, with the participation of all directors of LDS, as well as relevant departments of China Yangtze Power International (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. (CYPI) online.
Sojitz Arcus Investment has two photovoltaic power stations that have been put into operation in the Arequipa region of Peru, namely, Majes Arcus and Repartición Arcus, with a total installed capacity of 44 MW and an annual power generation of about 90 GWh.
This transaction marks the first-ever acquisition project of LDS in the field of new energy generation. It is also a testament to the important achievements made by CYPC in expanding the clean energy market in Peru and fully leveraging the advantages of LDS in Peru. This acquisition has paved the way for LDS to establish a pattern of power generation with the complementation of hydropower, wind power, and photovoltaic power in Peru, and has laid a solid foundation for it to achieve the strategic goal of coordinated development of the “power generation - power distribution” industry chain.
