As of September 7th, 2023, Xiangjiaba Ship Lift has completed a total of 2,785 operations, and served 2,537 vessels with a total capacity of 1.121 million tons, marking the fourth consecutive year of surpassing the annual designed freight capacity target of 1.12 million tons ahead of schedule, contributing to the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

Since the trial navigation of Xiangjiaba Ship Lift in 2018, Xiangjiaba Hydropower Plant of CYPC has set "safety, standardization, smoothness, and efficiency" as its management objectives. Focusing on aspects such as ship safety inspections, dispatch, and O&M, the Plant was actively engaged in technical and management innovations, and explored an operational management mode that integrates operations and maintenance, which has effectively enhanced its management capabilities. Furthermore, the Plant has vigorously pursued technological innovation. Specifically, it has successfully developed standby devices for the ship lift's drive system brakes, automated systems for checking ship draft and speed during passage, and procedures for single-drive motor emergency operation after exiting the ship lift. These innovations have improved equipment reliability, reduced vessel transit time, and ensured the safe and efficient operation of the ship lift, which has contributed to a gradual increase in the transportation volume of vessels passing through, thereby continually boosting navigational efficiency.
