Recently, the 91st ICOLD Annual Meeting was held in Gothenburg, Sweden. This meeting is themed on "Safety Management of Dam", at which international seminars, symposiums, annual meetings of various committees, as well as various activities such as youth forums, women's forums, and technical exhibitions, have been held. Chen Hui, Deputy General Manager of CYPC, led a delegation to attend the meeting.
As an academic organization with the highest professional level and the greatest influence in the field of international dam engineering, ICOLD plays a leading role in formulating the dam construction standards and guiding principles. By now, it has included more than 100 national committees and established 28 technical committees. Among them, the Combined Operation Committee of Hydropower Stations and Reservoirs led by CYPC is an important platform to promote technical exchange and cooperation in the operation and management of the international hydropower industry.
During the meeting, Chen Hui, as the chairman of the Combined Operation Committee of Hydropower Stations and Reservoirs, presided over the 11th annual meeting of the Combined Operation Special Committee of Hydropower Stations and Reservoirs. At the meeting, key content, writing process, and work plan of the third term technical bulletin were reported, the revision opinions and submission time of the technical bulletin were made clear, and the scope of work, research direction, and work plan of the fourth term of the Special Committee were discussed. At the same time, Chen Hui presided over a seminar to share achievements in the third term. Themed on "application of online monitoring technology in the combined operation of hydropower stations and reservoirs", this meeting elaborated on the important role of online monitoring technology in the combined operation of hydropower stations and reservoirs, analyzed and summarized the key technologies, application results, development history, and prospects of online monitoring in water regime, dam safety, earthquakes, sediment, water quality, electromechanical equipment, and metal structures, etc. At the meeting, members and representatives of seven member countries shared the content of the bulletin and research cases.
During the meeting, CYPC also participated in the ICOLD Special Committee Chairman Meeting, international seminars and other agendas, and had in-depth exchanges with ICOLD board members and chairmen of other special committees, fully demonstrating the company's positive practice, beneficial exploration and firm confidence in promoting high-quality development of the world's hydropower industry, and building a good international image of the company.
