Since the beginning of summer, the electricity demand has continued to rise across the country. Paying close attention to the power grid load, Baihetan HPP has continued to focus on work safety, ensured the power supply in the upcoming power consumption peak, and actively coped with the challenges brought by high temperature and large power load, to make sure the long-term safe and stable operation of the units.

As a major project in China's West-East Power Transmission Program, Baihetan HPP installs 16 million-kilowatt hydro-generating units, which have the global largest single unit capacity. Putting quality and safety in the first place, all employees of Baihetan HPP carefully organize the operation and management of the plant. Specifically, they closely monitor equipment operation in an all-round way, diagnose and analyze equipment in a science-based manner, and actively explore and master the operation rules of those million-kilowatt hydro-generating units. All these efforts ensure that the units can be operated fully and efficiently, so as to make contribution to achieving national goals of carbon emission peaking and carbon neutrality and promoting all-round green transformation of economic and social development.
