At 10:00 a.m. on December 29, 2022, the first batch of biomass materials was sent into the anaerobic fermenter, marking that Hunan Leiyang Bio-Natural Gas Project was formally put into trial operation. This project is the first bio-natural gas project invested and independently developed by TGEE, an affiliate to CYPC, as well as the first large-scale bio-natural gas project put into operation by CTG.
After the project is put into full operation, each year, it can process more than 370,000 tons of organic wastes collected from urban and rural areas, and produce about 14.6 million m3 of biogas and more than 26.64 million kWh of renewable clean electricity. It can also produce 20,000 tons of solid organic fertilizers, 10,000 tons of liquid organic fertilizers, and 305,000 tons of biogas slurry each year. By recycling such wastes in more than a million mu of oil-tea camellia and other cash crops in Leiyang, the project can make the best use of the wastes, and set a new example for the development of the circular economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
Since the project was commenced, TGEE has sent a competent management team to the construction site to organize project construction. They have overcome the impact of various negative factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic and bad weather, and made all-out effort to guarantee the safety and quality, promote the progress, and control the construction cost. The trial run of this project has sufficiently demonstrated the ability of TGEE for the construction and management of large-scale integrated smart energy projects, and showed the action and determination of TGEE to promote the sustainable development of the economy and society with integrated smart energy.
