On August 30, CYPC held the Ninth Meeting of the Sixth Board of Directors. The meeting was presided over by the company's Vice Board Chairman MA Zhenbo, and attended by directors ZHANG Xingliao, GUAN Jielin, HU Weiming, SU Jinsong, SU Tianpeng, ZHAO Yan, ZHANG Biyi, WEN Bingyou, YAN Hua, HUANG Delin and HUANG Feng.

The meeting deliberated and approved 3 proposals including CYPC Semi-Annual Report and Summary in 2022, and listened to a report on the company's production, operation and key progress in the first half of the year.

It was pointed out in the meeting that in the first half of this year, under the leadership of the Board of Directors and the Board of Supervisors, the company overcame many difficulties and challenges, grasped the favorable conditions such as the abundant inflow from the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, followed the overall arrangements of "consolidating large-scale hydropower at a high level and expanding new space with high quality", and made gratifying achievements in all key tasks. The four cascade hydropower plants affiliated to the company generated 95.1 TWh of electricity, with a year-on-year increase of 33%, and related indicators such as operating revenue and net profit all reached record highs, laying a solid foundation for successful completion of the annual production and operation tasks.

It was emphasized in the meeting that the inflow from the Yangtze River has significantly been reduced affected by the drought since the second half of the year. The Management and all employees were asked to: strengthen their confidence and rise to the challenge to ensure safe production and energy supply; make careful plans, take multiple measures simultaneously, and strive to achieve the annual performance goal; make overall planning, precisely implement plans, and go all out to complete the annual tasks. The meeting put forward specific requirements for strengthening safety management, optimizing joint operation, enhancing scientific and technological innovation, and promoting major asset restructuring of the Wudongde HPP and Baihetan HPP.

It was requested in the meeting that the company should focus on the annual goals and key tasks, advance various tasks in an all-round and orderly manner, continue to perform the operation management of cascade hydropower plants in the basin, thus creating more comprehensive benefits for the society.

Some supervisors, senior executives and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting as non-voting delegates.
