On June 23, CYPC and Qinhuangdao Municipal Government held talks in Yichang City and signed an investment and development agreement on the Qinglong Ice Canyon Pumped-storage Power Station. MA Zhenbo, Assistant President of CTG and Vice Board Chairman of CYPC, and LI Jiegang, Executive Vice Mayor of Qinhuangdao, attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. WANG Qiang, Vice Chairman of Qinhuangdao Municipal Political Consultative Conference, participated the ceremony.

LI Jiegang noted that, Qinhuangdao Municipal Government cherishes the cooperation with CYPC and will take the Qinglong Ice Canyon Pumped-storage Power Station and integrated energy base as a leverage to drive local economic and social development and promote a transition to green and low-carbon development. Meanwhile, they will fully support the investment and business operation of CYPC in Qinhuangdao, and join hands to build a model of enterprise-local government cooperation.

MA Zhenbo said that, despite the Three Gorges and Qinhuangdao are thousands of miles apart, the friendship between people of the two places run a long history. As a forerunner in the green and low-carbon development, CYPC will sincerely cooperate with the Qinhuangdao Municipal Government under the mission of operating and managing the Pillars of a Great Power to promote the earlier integration of the Qinglong Ice Canyon Pumped-storage Power Station into governmental planning followed by project commencement, putting into operation and gaining benefits as early as possible. Further, CYPC will spare no efforts to create characteristic development modes like source-grid-load-storage and wind-solar-hydro-storage, and build a "Qinglong Model" on the road towards "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" goals.

After the meeting, the two sides signed an investment and development agreement on the Qinglong Ice Canyon Pumped-storage Power Station. It is learned that, the power station has an installed capacity of 1 GW and a designed annual power generation of 1,672 GWh. CYPC speeds up green development and actively promotes a new mode of coordinated development of new energy and integrated smart energy, which plays a positive role in building zero-carbon city and new energy-dominated new power system.
