On January 26th, the Changlongshan Pumped Storage Power Station was fully handed over to CYPC for operation and maintenance management, indicating that the "pre-investment, construction and operation" management mechanism for pumped storage business was advanced in a solid step.

On January 30th, the dam project of Baihetan Hydropower Station was officially handed over to Baihetan Hydropower Plant, marking CYPC's full takeover of the main project of Baihetan Hydropower Station.

As of February 16th, the accumulative power generation of the six cascade hydropower stations on the main stream of the Yangtze River under the umbrella of CYPC has exceeded 3,500 TWh, equivalent to saving over 1 billion tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 2.8 billion tons.

On March 17th, CYPC was awarded the 2023 Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration Promotion Industry University Research Cooperation Promotion Award, marking its first attainment of China's highest honor in collaborative innovation among industries, universities, and research institutions.

On April 25th, Luz del Sur S.A.A. (LDS), a subsidiary of CYPC, completed the asset delivery for its acquisition of the Sapphire Wind Power Project in Peru, marking the first controlling-stake acquisition of both photovoltaic and wind power generation assets in Peru by a Chinese-funded enterprise.

On May 30th, CYPC's first academician workstation, Xia Jun Academician Workstation, was officially inaugurated.

As of August 10th, the cascade hydropower plants in the Yangtze River Basin have successfully responded to three numbered floods, with a cumulative flood interception capacity of about 13.45 billion cubic meters and a maximum peak shaving rate of over 50%, effectively safeguarding the safety of people's lives and property in the Yangtze River Basin.

As of September 10th, the accumulative power generation of the Xiluodu - Xiangjiaba cascade hydropower plants have exceeded 1,000 TWh over the years, equivalent to replacing over 300 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 820 million tons.

On October 8th, the CYPC's market capitalization soared to 789.8 billion yuan during trading, hitting a historic high.

On November 16th, the APEC Conference was held in Lima, capital of Peru, from November 10th to 16th. The Company continued to optimize relevant regional power supply assurance measures, proactively undertook service support operations, successfully fulfilling service guarantee tasks for the 2024 APEC Conference, for which the Company received high commendation from the Chinese Embassy in Peru.

On November 26th, the water level of Xiluodu Reservoir reached 598.84 meters, successfully completing the 2024 water storage task, marking the successful completion of the 2024 water storage task for the six cascade reservoirs on the main stream of the Yangtze River.

As of December 31st, CYPC has taken over the operation and maintenance of 25 stations under the of Lower Jinsha River Integrated Wind-Solar-Hydro-Storage Base, with a total installed capacity of over 3,000 MW. The first batch of 23 photovoltaic projects on the Yunnan side have all been put into operation.

As of December 31st, the six cascade hydropower plants on the main stream of the Yangtze River have generated a total of 295.904 TWh of electricity throughout the year, demonstrating strong and effective energy supply, and receiving high praise from the National Development and Reform Commission and the provinces and cities receiving electricity; The Company has achieved the "double zero" goal of work safety for the 15th consecutive year.
